Thank you to all of our students. We have finished our group lessons for this academic year. We'll be back in September.
In the meantime, our instructor, Donnamarie, is holding her own lessons (independently of Stony Brook University) at the Neighborhood House.
The following is her summer schedule:
May: 5/11, 5/18, 5/25
7pm Bolero 1
8pm American Cha Cha 2
June: 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/22
7pm Salsa 1
8pm Hustle 2
The level designations are general guidelines. The following is a short description but it's not a strict rule:
Beginner (Level 1) is generally the basic steps/variations of the dance. If you have not had any or very little dance experience, the lesson will focus on the basic steps of the dance. Intermediate (Level 2) is for students who already know the basic steps and some variations or have taken the Beginner level. Advanced is for students who have been dancing for years. The class will focus more on technique and complex variations.
